A consortium led by LA Dodgers part-owner Todd Boehly has reportedly won the bid to acquire English Premier League giants Chelsea.
The successful bid is backed by Clearlake Capital, Britain’s Telegraph newspaper reported on Friday.
The proposal has now been sent to the UK government and Premier League for approval.
The London club is currently third in the EPL and have reached the final of the FA Cup, where they will meet Liverpool at Wembley on May 14.
The future of the Blues was cast in doubt after the UK government imposed sanctions on club owner Roman Abramovich following Russia’s invasion of the Ukraine.
Chelsea, which won the Champions League last season, faced a freeze on ticket sales among other crippling restrictions.
