The federal government has formally opened 250 new houses in Auckland together with public housing and transitional houses.

Housing Minister Megan Woods opened a 167-unit condo in Glen Eden and 83 transitional houses in Ōtahuhu which she stated was a part of the federal government’s committment to heat, dry houses.

In Glen Eden, three several types of housing have been delivered within the Westlight condo advanced.

That’s made up of 90 two- and four-bedroom public housing models, 34 one-bedroom and two-bedroom KiwiBuild houses and 43 personal residences.

The Westlight advanced will home singles, {couples} and small household models and has a Homestar 6 power effectivity ranking, Woods stated.

The Ted Mason Basis supplied the capital to construct the residences and partnered with Group Housing Supplier, Compass Housing.

The contract is a 25 12 months lease by Tūāpapa Kura Kāinga – the Ministry of Housing and City Improvement, leased straight from Ted Mason, with a proper of renewal after 25 years.
