India CPI-M chief Sitaram Yechury’s son passes away resulting from COVID-19
New Delhi: The elder son of Communist Get together of India (Marxist) chief Sitaram Yechury – Ashish Yechury handed away on Thursday resulting from COVID-19.
Taking to Twitter, the CPI-M chief expressed his grief and thanked frontline employees who handled and supported them.
“It’s with nice unhappiness that I’ve to tell that I misplaced my elder son, Ashish Yechury to COVID-19 this morning. I need to thank all those that gave us hope and who handled him – docs, nurses, frontline well being employees, sanitation employees and innumerable others who stood by us,” Yechury tweeted.
This comes amid the devastating second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic that’s being witnessed throughout the nation.
Almost 300,000 new instances and over 2,000 deaths have been reported in India on Wednesday, a record-high for the reason that pandemic broke out final 12 months.
