Borussia Dortmund’s younger striker Youssoufa Moukoko will miss the remainder of the season due to a ligament damage in his foot, the Bundesliga membership says.
Moukoko, 16, suffered the damage throughout the group stage spherical of the under-21 Euros in Hungary.
“Accidents are a part of it and it is a massive problem for a participant. It is all about the way you take care of it,” Moukoko wrote on Instagram.
“I’ll work tougher and stronger. The Mouki will likely be again quickly.”
Moukoko turned the Bundesliga’s youngest ever debutant the day after his sixteenth birthday in November and the league’s youngest goalscorer weeks later at 16 years and 28 days.
Dortmund can even be lacking Jadon Sancho in opposition to Manchester Metropolis within the first leg of their Champions League quarter-finals.
Sancho, who has already missed the previous few video games resulting from persistent muscle issues, was not a part of the squad who travelled to England on Monday.
